1. What kind of gameplay features does SoaLS have?

3. How do I download and play SoALS?

Windows:

Our game is contained inside a single ZIP file. Windows XP and Vista can open them without additional software. If you need a ZIP program, we suggest 7-zip, which is free and open-source.

To play our game:

1. Download the Windows ZIP package of the visual novel from the project’s page or the Downloads page, and save it to your hard drive.
2. Extract the files inside the ZIP to a folder you’ll remember on your hard drive. If your ZIP program gives you an option to preserve the folder structure or directory structure, make sure it is selected.
3. Open the folder where you extracted the files. Double-click the icon for SRPG.exe.

Mac and Linux:

You will need to install Python and Pygame. For Python, Pygame’s developers recommend version Python 2.5. Grab the latest Pygame and install according to the instructions on their website. Then launch srpg.py

Touhou

Where in the Touhou timeline does this take place?

It is during an unspecified time after Mountain of Faith. Development began before that Touhou 11, so the world reflects Gensokyo after the events of MoF. Post-MoF characters may make apperances in the side quests.

Who are the main characters?

Youmu is front and center as the lead hero in this game. She’ll be accompanied by Ran and Chen, as well as the staple heroes Reimu and Marisa. Youmu got chosen since she has a rather unique perspective as someone who hasn’t gone on these crisis-resolution adventures as often as Reimu and Marisa.
